Display

The Karoo 2 has the widest color spectrum and twice the pixel density (292 PPI) of the competition. With its 3.2" display and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, the Karoo 2 offers a razor-sharp display for perfect readability. When it comes to display brightness, the competition from Garmin and Wahoo pales - this is where the Karoo 2 sets the standard!

Dragontrail Glass

The display's Dragontrail glass is matte and particularly scratch-resistant. It has a resistant, glare-free surface that ensures the screen's visibility in all light conditions.

Touchscreen & Buttons

The Karoo 2 can be controlled via the touchscreen or its 4 buttons. The responsive smartphone-quality touchscreen filters out incorrect inputs from rain and mud. A double tap locks the screen when needed.

Constant firmware updates

The strongest processor and the best display are of no use if the software is not up to par. The developers of the Karoo 2 seem to need little sleep - they release a firmware update every 2 weeks on average. Existing functions are improved and new features are unlocked.

Navigation

The Karoo 2 features full-color, global maps with all the details you need when cycling, including POIs and elevation information. Route planning is based on your preferences - there are options for road, gravel and mountain biking.

The quality of the navigation feature has been widely praised: turn-by-turn navigation for each route, with audible cues and visual indicators so you never miss a turn.

You can transfer planned routes to the Karoo 2 or create routes directly in the Karoo 2.

Get up-to-date elevation profiles for your route so you know what climbs lie ahead.
And with the Karoo 2's homecoming option, you'll always get back home.

Re-Routing

If you have to or want to leave the route, the route is recalculated within a few seconds (re-routing).

Handlebar mount

The patent-pending Hammerhead mounting system is a bracket for 31.8mm diameter handlebars that is reliable, easy to use, stylish and aerodynamic. It provides a much larger contact area between the Karoo 2 and the mount, making it more stable than a quarter-turn design.

With the included Karoo quarter-turn adapter, you can attach the Karoo 2 to any Garmin-compatible mount.

Battery

With a capacity of 2500 mAh, the battery provides up to 14 hours of riding time. Fast charging takes the Karoo 2 from 0% to 30% in 30 minutes and fully charges it in less than 3 hours. The waterproof USB-C port is state of the art.

Connectivity

In addition to the usual connectivity options (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+, and USB cable), the Karoo also offers the ability to use a SIM card (not included) to get online on the go. By using the Android operating system, future enhancements and the use of Android apps are possible.

The Karoo 2 can be paired with all common ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors (cadence, speed, heart rate, powermeter, Smart Trainer) and also supports SRAM eTap and Campagnolo EPS.

Climber Feature

The Climber feature automatically detects the next climbs and displays them clearly. So you know what's coming up and you can pace yourself optimally.
