Power meter is manufactured exclusively by SRM Germany. Delivery within 4-5 weeks after order.
Why choose Powermetershop?
- Order number: SW10800
The SRM X-Power DUAL Flat is a double-sided pedal power meter. The left and right leg are measured completely separately from each other. Especially for the all-mountain and trekking field there were long no powermeter pedals without a clipless system. SRM has closed this gap with the X-Power Flat pedals.
The SRM X-Power DUAL Flat pedals have a rechargeable battery and offer a measurement accuracy of ± 2%. The pedals are manufactured by SRM in Jülich near Cologne in Germany.
Highlights and Downsides
- dual-sided power measurement with a ± 2% accuracy
- rechargeable battery (30h operating time)
- integrated cadence measurement
- low weight (410g for both pedals)
- automatic temperature compensation
- easy to swap between bikes
- works with many bike computers and smartphones (ANT+ & Bluetooth)
- not compatible with clipless systems
- in a crash, the bike usually lands on the pedal
Dual-sided measurement
In the SRM X-Power Flat DUAL both pedals are equipped with measurement electronics. This allows power and force distribution to be measured individually for each leg. Especially in case of muscular imbalances, you are at an advantage with the double-sided SRM X-Power Flat. This makes the DUAL particularly suitable for ambitious riders who want to know exactly and want to learn more about their pedaling technique.
For beginners and riders with a tight budget who can do without the last percent accuracy, the single-sided SRM X-Power Flat Single is a good alternative.
Compatible bike computers and smartphones
ANT+ capable bike computers (Garmin, Wahoo, O-Synce, Sigma, SRM, etc.) work without problems with the SRM X-Power Flat. Since the data transmission of the SRM X-Power Flat also takes place via Bluetooth Smart, the powermeter can also be paired with smartphones.
Compatible bikes
The SRM X-Power Flat pedals can be used with any bike. Especially for the all-mountain and trekking field there were long no power meter pedals without a clipless system. SRM has closed this gap with the X-Power Flat pedals. Also other cyclists who want to ride without a clipless pedal but not a powermeter, will love the X-Power Flat pedals.
Rechargeable battery
The batteries have an operating time of 30 hours and are rechargeable via a magnetic plug. This means that there is no opening in the housing of the electronics and the pedals have no battery cover (no wear, no water entry).
Construction and design
The complete electronics including battery is installed in the pedal axle and thus protected from external influences such as moisture and dirt. There is no opening in the housing of the electronics and the pedals have no battery cover (no wear, no water entry). The pedal body is made of anodized aluminum. The pedal axle is made of steel. This construction makes the X-Power Flat pedals very robust and durable.
Weight
The pedal set weighs in at 410g including measurement electronics and battery. Thus, the SRM X-Power Flat pedals are in an average range for flat pedals without a built-in power meter!
Accuracy
An accurate measurement is not so easy with flat pedals, because the foot is not fixed on the pedal as with a clipless pedal and therefore often takes a slightly different position on the pedal. Nevertheless, SRM has managed to achieve a measurement accuracy of +-2%.
Setup and firmware updates
Screw the pedals to the crank arms with a normal 15mm pedal-wrench. Then launch the X-Power app (iOS and Android). After the app has found the pedals (rotate pedals to wake them up from standyby), go to "Installation" in the app and follow the steps. The app will guide you through the setup: Set crank arm length, zero calibration and alignment. And you're done! Firmware updates are also installed via the app.
Installation
The installation is very simple - the SRM X-Power Flat pedals are simply screwed to the bike like normal pedals. A real plug 'n play powermeter. This also allows easy switching between different bikes. In addition, the SRM X-Power Flat pedals can also easily be taken on vacation or to the training camp and mounted there on a rental bike. Since the electronics are built into the pedal axle, the assembly is not possible with an Allen key. A 15mm standard pedal wrench is required.
Durability
At product launch, the SRM X-Power Flat pedals had a few teething issues and there were problems at SRM with some suppliers. Meanwhile, the problems have been solved and the X-Power Flat pedals are now reliable and robust.
Warranty and support
The SRM X-Power Flat pedals come with 2 years warranty. The pedals are produced by SRM in Germany. The German support is very good and customer-oriented. If there is ever a problem, we have a direct line to SRM and can help you quickly.

Mounting and setting up the pedals
The pedals arrived excellently packaged. First I had them fully charged. First I tried it with a powerbank, did not run, with normal charger via mains plug within 1 1/2 hours fully charged (80%, 30%). Then mounted the pedals on the bike and started the setup in the x-Power app. Very simple and good user guidance, all clear. Then I coupled the sensors with Garmin Edge 1040 => immediately and clearly recognized, short test ride, happy!
